Sea Cocoon Hotel El Nido is more than just a place to stay – it is an experience that will stay with you long after you leave El Nido.
El Nido, Philippines is one of the most breathtaking places I have ever been to, which is why one visit is clearly not enough.
It is almost impossible to leave El Nido without feeling a sense of awe.
So when planning your holiday to Philippines’ last frontier, it is only natural that you would want somewhere equally memorable to rest your head on at night.
There are literally hundreds of accommodation options to be found in El Nido, so the choice can be truly overwhelming.
Luckily, I’ve done the research for you, and when it comes to finding the best hotel in El Nido, there is no better choice than Sea Cocoon Hotel.
Arriving at Sea Cocoon Hotel El Nido
As soon as we walked into the hotel, we were greeted by the warm smiles of the staff that made us feel at home.
Like one would expect from the number 1 rated B&B on Trip Advisor in El Nido, the interior design is well thought out and exceeds expectations.
Despite the trendy look, the feel of the hotel remains relaxed and homey.
Our room
Our room is bright and spacious with chic-décor style, and so enticingly comfortable that made it hard to leave every morning.
They installed memory foam over the spring mattress to completely ensure a good night’s sleep.
Its quality is easily comparable to 5-star hotels.
Room amenities included a flat screen LCD TV with tons of cable channels, complimentary Wi-Fi, private balcony, electronic safe and a workspace.
I truly appreciated their bare shelves which gave us plenty of space for our things.
Our ensuite bathroom had walk-in shower, toilet and basic toiletries.
The hot and cold shower has a good water pressure which included a rain shower.
Clean water is one of the main issues in El Nido but we were pleased to know that they have a deeper well with in-house purification system using reverse osmosis plus ultraviolet disinfection.
Also, they have a silent stand-by generator in case of power shortage.
Breakfast
Breakfast buffets are served at the dining area downstairs next to the swimming pool with a breakfast bar in the middle so, you can grab a bite in between laps.
They have a large TV in dining area which I found convenient to learn the news or watch an informative documentary.
Mind you, it is not too loud so, you can still have your early morning conversations with people.
The included breakfast is of the traditional Filipino breakfast in majority, complete with rice, egg, meat and vegetables.
They have an egg station where you can order up fresh eggs cooked either sunny side up, scrambled or boiled.
As for light breakfast eaters like my husband, they have variety of bread, jam and butter.
For the little ones, they cereals and milk to start their day.
Fruits, juices, tea and coffee are also available.
Pool
Sea Cocoon Hotel has a good sized pool which served as a good alternate in times that we wanted to skip the sea or simply relax and get a tan.
And oh, it’s a good place to spot their 3 gorgeous chow chows that hangs by every day.
Superbly located one block away from the beach, Sea Cocoon Hotel is an excellent launching point for island hopping and inland tours.
Every day we would head out to explore the best that El Nido had to offer and return to Sea Cocoon Hotel feeling at home to rest our weary muscles.
We definitely enjoy our stay at Sea Cocoon Hotel!
Sea Cocoon Hotel is more than just a place to stay – it is an experience that will stay with you long after you leave El Nido.
In a saturated world of stale accommodations and repetitive guesthouses, it was sensational to be able to enjoy what may just be the best hotel in El Nido.
