There is no direct flight to El Nido. This means that you will have to (a) fly to Puerto Princesa, the capital city of Palawan and travel 6-7 hours of long and winding road or (b) fly to Coron and take a boat trip for 7-8 hours to reach El Nido. Yes, it sounds stressful.
It would take several lifetimes to explore the 7,000+ islands that make up the Philippine Archipelago. But, probably the best place I’ve been in the Philippines is El Nido, Palawan. The 5-6 hour van ride from Puerto Princesa is definitely way worth it!
Camotes Island, particularly Santiago Bay area happens to be our favorite go-to place when we want to move away from the hustle and bustle of the city. There is a wide range of activities that everyone can do – whether you are looking for some quiet time or some adrenaline adventures.
