Having been blessed with one of the most captivating, jaw-dropping sceneries in the country, Palawan offers no less than an incomparable experience and picture perfect images of lush greenery, pristine white sand beaches, virgin forests, and a number of Unesco-declared heritage sites that will surely capture the hearts of anyone who is able to pay a visit in this famed province.
Sea Cocoon Hotel is more than just a place to stay – it is an experience that will stay with you long after you leave El Nido. In a saturated world of stale accommodations and repetitive guesthouses, it was sensational to be able to enjoy what may just be the best hotel in El Nido.
There is no direct flight to El Nido. This means that you will have to (a) fly to Puerto Princesa, the capital city of Palawan and travel 6-7 hours of long and winding road or (b) fly to Coron and take a boat trip for 7-8 hours to reach El Nido. Yes, it sounds stressful.
It would take several lifetimes to explore the 7,000+ islands that make up the Philippine Archipelago. But, probably the best place I’ve been in the Philippines is El Nido, Palawan. The 5-6 hour van ride from Puerto Princesa is definitely way worth it!
