A good hair day always makes a difference. It makes you feel confident, positive and good about yourself. Sure, it is always easier to manage your hair when you have the comfort of your home but, what about when you are traveling?
Let’s face it – taking care of our hair while traveling can be crippling at some occasions especially for the ladies. You travel from location to another with possible drastic changes in weather, temperature and humidity – enough to cause your hair to fall off! But don’t panic, here are some useful tips to tame your hair while on the road.
Watch your diet
You are what you eat, as they say. Your diet mirrors your crowning glory. Drinking plenty of water and natural juices will definitely provide your hair a healthy glow.
Keep it simple
Look for ways to simplify your hair care routine. You can use products that do more than one thing at a time. I personally recommend shampoo with conditioner. Plus, it saves you space when packing.
Stay away from pools and the sea, if possible
Swimming pools and the sea are mortal enemies of our hair. Pools contain loads of chlorine while the sea contains loads of salt elements, each and both are enough to dry out our hair after minutes of dipping. Should you take a dip in the pool or the sea, tie your hair so it won’t get wet and /or make sure you use conditioner afterwards.
Brush your hair
This is probably the most basic hair care tip as told by our moms. Despite being busy moving here and there, always make time to brush your hair. If you leave your hair unbrushed for days, it will tangle which eventually cause breakage.
Don’t stress
Stress can cause hair fall. It can literally make your hair fall out. So, figure out what’s stressing you and do your best to resolve it before your last hair falls off. Kidding!
On serious note, it takes time to grow your hair back so, you don’t want to be walking around with some bald spots on your head. Lucky for us, there is an advanced tricho pigmentation treatment that replicates the appearance of naturally growing hair follicles for those with little to no hair.
Keep in mind, our holidays should be a time to chill, take adventures, and have fun. Keep your hair care routines handy and worthwhile. Happy travels!
