I left my heart at Punta del Este

Our stay at Punta del Este (The Point of the East) was a delight on so many levels. From the moment we arrived and then saw just how lovely the villa is, we knew we were in for a great holiday.

Punta Del Este has two (2) lovely villas – Sarimanok and Kasbah Remo, complete and modern amenities. Both villas are well-designed and surrounded by beautiful tropical gardens and lush greenery.

We knew as soon as we stepped into the villa’s grounds that we were in heaven. We fell in love at first sight!

The Kasbah Remo

We stayed at Kasbah Remo for two (2) wonderful nights.

Our new home was cozy, spacious and tastefully furnished with beautiful tribal art decors, Moor ceramics and traditional thatched ceiling.

The villa is massive! It has five (5) bedrooms which sleep up to 12 people. In addition to the living area, there is also a fully equipped kitchen, powder room and a beautiful water fountain that runs all day and night.

Depending on your preference, there are plenty of dining areas to choose from. This is our favorite!

Our bedroom is particularly stunning – mini sanctuary where we could retire any time of the day, close the curtains and have a beautiful guilt-free nap in a super comfy king size bed. The ensuite has a shower area, toilet, closet and a ‘his and her’ sink.

Kasbah Remo Masters Bedroom

What’s even more exciting is that our bedroom opens to the infinity pool which presents breathtaking views of the Varadero Bay, Isla Verde and other surrounding sights of Puerto Galera. We spent a lot of time in and around the pools and were able to follow the arc of the sun all day long.

All the rooms are well-kept. We had our own safe and fans in case we needed them. Yes, no air condition! But who needs it? The villa sits on top of a hill, which means that the place is so breezy. WIFI? Check!

Each morning, we reward ourselves by getting up early and witness this magical view.

The Villa Sarimanok

We didn’t stay at Villa Sarimanok but we were able to explore the villa when we got invited by the hosts for dinner. (Yes, like family.)

Sarimanok Panorama

Villa Sarimanok is the very first villa you will see when you go up the hill from the main road. It has two units which shares a patio and the swimming pool.

Sarimanok Villa

This gorgeous villa has four (4) bedrooms which also includes a fully equipped kitchen, WIFI, linens and daily maid service. The picturesque view of the sunset  from this villa will take your breathaway.

The Beach

Yes, the beach is nearby. So, if you feel beach bumming, no problem! Just go down the paved stairs on the right side of Kasbah Remo villa and voilà!

The beach is open to the public but it’s clean and quiet.
