Reggae on the beach with High Tide band

When most people come to Santiago Bay, they come for the beach. Little did they know, this place is also home to one of the most promising reggae bands in Cebu. They are called High Tide. Even though you may not be the biggest reggae fan in the world, this reggae band from the islands of Camotes could positively surprise you.

The band’s sincerity and respect for music and audience have made them one of Camotes’ most cherished bands with an appeal to a wide group of audience.

Drinks

The band’s usual live performances are extremely hip, energetic, and colorful. Their beats can make you get up on your feet and show off your dancing skills. Everyone is free to sing their favorite reggae song or dance the night away or both.

Party

In some nights, the band maintains a laid-back, island atmosphere during their acoustic sessions where everyone can enjoy a drink or two. People can relish the night by hanging out with new found island friends while being serenaded.

Talks

The group was able to continue to expand their sound while still staying true to the reggae beat like they’ve always had -the unique bouncing music with the sticky beat and the emphasis on percussion and bass.

But there is more to them than rocking out fantastic reggae beats.

When they are not playing, they make artsy jewelries, native music instruments and tiny cool mementos perfect for pasalubong. Cool isn’t it?

Crafts

The band plays every weekend and never disappoints. If you happen to be in Camotes Islands, drop by the Santiago Bay area on a Friday or Saturday.

Look for the Dread House.

The good thing about music is that when it hits you, you feel no pain.
